Sylvan Solitude

“Sylvan Solitude” -Mt. Rainier National Park

This is one of my favorite Mt. Rainier National Park images. I always have a hard time coming up with image titles, but this image seems to convey what it felt like to be there much better than words can. ¬†Since I got such a feeling of solitude, I settled on “Sylvan Solitude.” Two days of rain and overcast skies gave me this wonderful light and saturated colors to play with. I may not have gotten the iconic Mt. Rainier shot, but I think this makes up for it!

Greetings, and welcome to my first blog post! I am a photographer who is passionate about the art of photography. I enjoy shooting landscapes and seascapes, as well as close ups of nature. Old structures and vehicles, boats, and harbors, along with the occasional abstract, are just a few things that show up in my images. If you have already viewed my galleries you will have an idea of the kinds of images I like to make. If not, please take a look at them.
